Thank you for your patience as we plan our "see-ya's," (no good-byes) to Mike.
A visitation will be held at Jonesboro United Methodist Church Wesley Center, Sanford, North Carolina, Monday, April 13 from 6pm-8pm.
Honoring his wishes, Mike will be cremated. There will not be a viewing.
A Memorial Celebration is planned for Sunday, May 3 from 3pm until... at the same location.
Thank you for your prayers and outpouring of love as we grieve our brother, son, father, husband, cousin, grand child, nephew, uncle, friend.
We hope that after some time to mourn the loss, you will find the reasons to celebrate Mike's life as he would want us to. Please bring those celebrations to the Memorial Celebration.
Let Easter Sunday sustain you with reassurance that we have a God who knows what it is like to lose his son. Know that Mike is living in eternity with the Father.
Once again, on behalf of that big Teddy Bear and family,
Rhonda
Dear Rhonda, Barry and Family:
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our hearts are heavy for you all. We have you in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
Rhonda, I am Eda Price, Laura's cousin in Richmond VA, and I just wanted to thank you and commend you for doing a perfectly beautiful, loving service for Laura and everyone who knew Mike, by keeping everyone informed of how he was doing along the way. You have been such a comfort to everyone who has been keeping up with the news about Mike since Monday's events, and I have no doubt that there is loving support coming your way from all directions. I'm thinking in particular of Laura and Hunter today, and I know that the world feels like a very strange place to be today, with things so very different. They (and you!) are so very fortunate to be blessed with loving families and friends who will "circle the wagons" and take care of the details as they make their way through the coming days. And they are so very fortunate to have you! I'm looking forward to meeting you at the memorial celebration in May. Until then, take care and may God continue to bless you and your family. -- Eda Spivey Price
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me Kira welcomed Mike at the door. Just seems like she would know it's Ms. Rhonda's brother. My heart is there with them. Reach out and touch Him tonight, He is right there beside you...so close you don't know it.

Mike has made his presence known throughout the night through the beautiful gift of music. The family received a set of wind chimes the size of some pipes for organs. They are big and burly like Mike yet resonate an incredible sweet, low song. Oh how I hurt. Oh how I want him and not just his memories. I have experienced this so much with others in my life and career but this does not seem real. Having the medical knowledge does not make this any more real or less painful.
ReplyDeleteMr. and Mrs. Watson , Rhonda, Laura and Hunter (and so many who knew and loved Mike.)
ReplyDeleteMy heart broke in two when I heard the news. I am holding you all up in my prayers. I went through junior high and high school with Mike and will always remember him as such a sweet soul and he always had a smile and hug or nice comment to share. I lost my brother in an auto accident in 1993 and my family knows the hurt but on the other hand we also have a blessed assurance that we all will meet again in heaven and that has made it easier to deal with. Know that God loves you and so do I. Take care and God Bless each of you. Love and prayers, Patricia Morrison -Stone class of 1987 Lee County Senior High.
